My New Novel

Phew!!! Its been a couple of hectic months before I finally managed to post something on my blog. Starting with the endless presentations, exams, a trip back home and now finally I have got some time for my blog.

Its been over a year ever since I had completed my second novel 'Born 2 Win' and now I have completed the groundwork for my third novel which is tentatively titled 'IF...'. All I can say at this point of time is that the basic premise of this novel is a love story.

An Adventure Trip Called MBA

The first thing that usually strikes the people when they hear about an MBA is the 6-7 digit salary package. Well....... this is true if you are studying at a reputed college. But there is more to an MBA than the salary package. It is the journey that you undergo while completing two years of MBA. I have just stepped into this amazing world of MBA where excitement is a routine. Mind you an MBA is not all about A.C classrooms, Wi-Fi Campus, smart boys and girls etc. The challenging part of MBA is attending classes at the oddest hours possible, meeting the deadlines of the assignments and projects, maintaining good attendance, studying late into the nights (standing, just because you don't fall asleep), getting up at 5 in the morning and rushing to college to attend the 6 O'clock class. This is an amazing experience which makes you strong both physically and mentally.

Well..... it is the same case with me too. Initially I too had a rosy picture of MBA etched in my mind, but ultimately it had to change and I am enjoying this change. The best thing I think comes when I come to the hostel after attending my classes at 5:30 in the evening. I have to complete all the assignments given to me and also study for the topic which is to be taught tomorrow before midnight so that I could watch the Euro-2008, which starts at midnight and spans around two hours and again getting up at 5 in the morning. PHEW!!! It is very tiresome but exciting.

Since I am from an engineering background, the fun lies in studying Accounts. Staring endlessly into the serene pages of T.S Grewal or Hanif Mukherjee and then trying to figure out what is debit or credit. Just imagine the happiness you get when you don't know the ABC of accounting and yet you have got the journal and the ledger entry correctly. I have experienced this happiness many times.

Pre-MBA I hardly ever read anything other than the sports section in 'The Times Of India', or perhaps the 'Hyderabad Times'. But now I spend more time reading 'The Economic Times' rather than the sports section of TOI.

In my Sundays I have kept aside 5 hours for my free work. 2 hours of extra sleep so that I sleep for 6 hours atleast on a Sunday and the remaining 3 hours for Watching TV(preferably a Shah Rukh Khan or a Kareena Kapoor movie).

I have just started my adventure trip in the MBA world and am already loving every bit of it.

Nokia is India's Most Trusted Brand

Oral care brand Colgate’s run as India’s Most Trusted Brand has come to an end. The brand has finally lost its No 1 position in Brand Equity’s annual Most Trusted Brands survey — not to any FMCG brand, but to India’s leading mobile handset marketer Nokia.

Following a stellar four-year run, the Finnish telecom brand has climbed 70 ranks to become India’s No 1 trusted brand, according to this year’s Most Trusted Brands survey. The survey was conducted nationwide across 12 cities, involving over 8,000 respondents across socio-economic class, age and income groups. The Brand Equity survey was conducted by leading market research agency AC Nielsen ORG-MARG, and is the largest of its kind in India.

India is the second largest market for Nokia globally. The company has a manufacturing facility in Chennai, three R&D facilities, and a design centre in Bangalore, keeping Nokia in step with the growing needs of emerging markets.

P.S:- The Indian Brand Ambassador of Nokia is Shah Rukh Khan.

An Open Letter To Aamir Khan

To begin with:-
AAMIR KHAN YOU SUCK!!!!!!!!!!

Your blog post about 'The King Khan' was absolutely a piece of crap which shows your crappy mind and how much of a inferior complex you have when compared to SRK. When you were unable to defeat SRK in terms of hit movies and popularity, you resorted to cheap tactics of hitting from behind the veil through your crappy blog, just like a woman. But hey, even the woman don't do this. So I don't need to guess who you are?

Just come out of your ivory tower and have the guts to face the fact. SRK is much bigger and much better than you!!!!!

So what if you LUCKILY had a Taare Zameen Par? SRK has got loads of films like Chak De India, Darr, DDLJ, Swades etc. SRK movies are made on a shoe string budget but still manage to become big hits. Unlike your dud-Mangal Pandey, which was nothing short of a torture. Inspite of you being so called the Perfectionist, growing your hairs, and moustache and taking three awful years to make a pathetic movie.

Leave alone SRK you can't even match the popularity and charishma of Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan or Hrithik Roshan. Grow up and avoid being a sore loser(though you are always a loser). SRK rules in entire world in terms of popularity and you would dwarf in front of him. But hey!!! You already are a dwarf in front of him(height wise ha ha ha).

Just show a movie of yours that collected even half of what Om Shanti Om collected?

And even Chak De India was much better than your Taare Zameen Par. SRK didn't reply to your cheap remark because when the elephant walks, there are many dogs barking at him, but the elephant doesn't harm any of the dogs, because he doesn't need to. And that is the same case with you.

Just stop being jealous of SRK and his achievements. You came into the industry by the charity given to you by your famous parents. But SRK has done it all by himself.

I would like to remind you a dialogue from the film Guru(with some changes):-

'SRK se ladho to SRK bankar,
Lekin SRK sirf ek hi hai'

From Hyderabad, To Bangalore..........With love!!!

Hi Guys,

Well, today I would be leaving Hyderabad for Bangalore to study for my MBA for the next two years. Its been a mixed feeling. Though I feel excited about going to a new city, but at the same time I feel sad as I would have to leave my family, friends and relatives with whom I had spend a major chunk of my life. But hold on, life is never predictable!!

From what I have heard about Bangalore is that it is a complete different city when compared to Hyderabad. Though I am not not believing what everyone is telling me coz I would like to find that out myself. I think initially it would be a bit tough to adjust but I am confident that I would be fine in a couple of weeks. I am leaving by the Bangalore Express-Alone!!!. I have never travelled alone and this is another thing I look forward to.

But the very thought that I would be leaving my family dampens my spirits coz this is also the first time that I would be staying away from my family. But again as I said, life is never predictable. So lets see what happens?

I would write my next post in Bangalore describing my train journey and how was it to travel to alone. So keep tuned.

Awesome Twosome...........They Will Destroy !!!!!

Shoaib Akhtar is cleared to play the IPL!!!!!

This was the headline that was screaming out of the news channels today an I being a staunch supporter of the Kolkata Knight Riders could'nt have been happier. After all one of the most controversial players in the history of sports would be making his debut in the cash rich IPL.

Just imagine Shoaib Akhtar and Ishant Sharma (the two fastest bowlers of the world) bowling in tandem. Even the best batsmen would have their hearts in their throats. Luck has finally smiled at the Kolkata Knight Riders, which had been the most unlucky team of the IPL. With Brendon McCullum, Ricky Ponting and Chris Gayle not able to play, their batting was and is very thin. But the inclusion of Shoaib Akhtar would infuse new enthusiasm into the team when it comes out to play the subsequent matches, hopefully.

Had Kolkata Knight Riders been at their full strength, then there would never be a doubt who the winners of the inaugral IPL would have been.

So all the Sehwags, Gilchrists, Pathans, Dhonis, Yuvrajs etc, Beware!!!. Those eight overs bowled by Shoaib and Ishant(4 overs each) could just take your breaths away. The IPL has become even more exciting and the war cry of the Kolkata Knight Riders-'Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo' has become more dangerous.
