Shoaib Akhtar is cleared to play the IPL!!!!!This was the headline that was screaming out of the news channels today an I being a staunch supporter of the Kolkata Knight Riders could'nt have been happier. After all one of the most controversial players in the history of sports would be making his debut in the cash rich IPL.
Just imagine Shoaib Akhtar and Ishant Sharma (the two fastest bowlers of the world) bowling in tandem. Even the best batsmen would have their hearts in their throats. Luck has finally smiled at the Kolkata Knight Riders, which had been the most unlucky team of the IPL. With Brendon McCullum, Ricky Ponting and Chris Gayle not able to play, their batting was and is very thin. But the inclusion of Shoaib Akhtar would infuse new enthusiasm into the team when it comes out to play the subsequent matches, hopefully.
Had Kolkata Knight Riders been at their full strength, then there would never be a doubt who the winners of the inaugral IPL would have been.
So all the Sehwags, Gilchrists, Pathans, Dhonis, Yuvrajs etc, Beware!!!. Those eight overs bowled by Shoaib and Ishant(4 overs each) could just take your breaths away. The IPL has become even more exciting and the war cry of the Kolkata Knight Riders-'Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo' has become more dangerous.

yeah the two of them would form a fantastic pair
this team would have been unbeatable if mccullum, ponting and gayle would have been there.
